Our modern bedrooms are available in a variety of types to suit all tastes including family rooms and executive suites.

The building was first recorded in 1820 as an alehouse brewing its own ale, cider, and porter. It is on this site that now stands 17 modern en-suite bedrooms, including executive suites with corner Jacuzzi baths and flat screen TVs.

The current owners of the Red Lion the Shaw family took over the tenancy with Ansell’s Brewery in May 1986, and were fortunate enough to buy the freehold of the property in January 1992. In the years that followed, major extensions and refurbishment took place with the addition of a children's adventure playground, BBQ area, and large garden. The latest but possibly not the last addition has been the bedroom block which completes the country inn that you see before you now, a place where you can wine, dine, and recline.
